SATURDAY marked a milestone, with the AFL taking part in the ClubsNSW Academy Games for the first time.
The Central Coast Academy of Sport (CCAS), Northern Inland Academy of Sport (NIAS), South West Sydney Academy of Sport (SWSAS) closely contested the younger and older age groups. However, unfortunately they were no match for the Western Sydney Academy of Sport (WSAS) older boys, who dominated the day.
The day ran without a hitch, with the group set up looking immaculate and ready to go as the AFL athletes arrived.
Today, the teams kicked off at 9:00am at the Bateau Bay Sporting Facility, with the boys completing the weekends round-robin tournament.
At the end of the day, the top players from the CCAS, SWSAS and NIAS will take on the WSAS in the decider. It will wrap up an incredible sporting weekend and a successful debut to the newest sporting addition to the ClubsNSW Academy Games.
The Central Coast Academy of Sport on behalf of the Regional Academy of Sport (RASi) network would like to thank and acknowledge the support received from the following organisations:
