2016 ClubsNSW Academy Games Going Coastal

The Central Coast Academy of Sport is continuing preparations for the 2016 ClubsNSW Academy Games to be held on the Central Coast from Friday April 8th to Sunday April 10th.

Following a highly successful 2015 ClubsNSW Academy Games, the Central Coast will be the venue again in 2016. The 2015 Games saw over 750 athletes, staff and volunteers from across New South Wales participate and compete in the various different sports.

Emily Burgess-Moore on the ClubsNSW Academy Games: “It is always exciting to organise and run an event of this magnitude. Each year the ClubsNSW Academy Games continues to grow and we are proud to give these great athletes such an opportunity”

The Games provide the opportunity for the State’s pre-elite young athletes to have high level competition and social interaction in a ‘mini Olympics’ style competition, whilst enjoying excellent facilities and warm hospitality on the beautiful Central Coast.

The ClubsNSW Academy Games brings together athletes and staff from all 11 regional Academies across New South Wales that comprise the Regional Academies of Sport (RASi) network including: Western Sydney, South West Sydney, South East Region, Illawarra, Central Coast, Western Region, Hunter, North Coast, Northern Inland and Far West Academies of Sport.

The 2016 ClubsNSW Academy Games will see athletes compete against each other in various sports including AFL, Basketball, Golf, Hockey, Netball, and Triathlon. The 2016 Academy Games are shaping up to be the biggest yet.

The opening ceremony kicks off Friday 8th April, where athletes, coaches, sponsors and the like will all gather together in anticipation for an amazing event.

The Central Coast Academy of Sport on behalf of the Regional Academy of Sport (RASi) network would like to thank and acknowledge the support received from the following organisations:
